    lavender cushions tutorial

    Uncategorized

       to make these cushions, you need;
    hessian fabric
    lavender
    masking tape
    paint
    stencil
    scissors
    sewing machine

     cut a piece of fabric and sew around 3 sides leaving one open, because hessian has holes, i made a little fabric bag to go inside, and spooned the lavender in and then stitched it up.

    then turn the little cushion the right way out, and put masking tape where you want the lines, and place a piece of card board inside so the paint doesnt go through to the other side. next dab the paint with a paintbrush between the lines.

     i did one white line, and two smaller mint stripes

     next i got the stencil and wrote the word “smell” in black paint, using a sponge brush.

     then put the lavender bag inside and stitch up.

     then a made another and glued a wooden heart on

    and another i glued a lace doily on.

    i used a sleeve of an old jumper and made some knitten ones. too,

      When I first saw your picture at the Finding Fabulous party, I thought, "Why would you want a pillow with Smell on it." lol I had to click on it. After seeing the picture much bigger, I could tell what they were. 🙂 I can only imagine how delicious they smell!
