    ruffled t-shirt bib knecklace tutorial

    Uncategorized

to make these ruffled bib style knecklaces you have to cut 3 long strips of t-shirt fabric, this doest fray so i find it looks neater

then use a zigzag stitch, machine down the centre of each strip leaving the cotton quite long when you snip it off at the end

now comes the tricky bit to photograpth as you need two hands for this, with one hand hold the strip of fabric and the other pick up one of the strands of thread, i find that it works best to pull the bobbin thread underneath, hold on to this thread tight and gently tease the fabric down away from it toward the other end, working it one bit at a time, do a small section and keep pushing the fabric into a ruffle as you go, try not to pull to tight on the thread as it could snap

then do this to all 3 peices of fabric

then you need to cut out a bib shaped peice out of felt,

then make your cords for the knecklace, i cut small long strips of the t-shirt fabric and stretched it, then one side i braided, and the other i used several strips together, then glue these down on to the bib like below

then arrange the ruffles on the the felt to decide how you want it, and then glue down with a glue gun,

and it should look like this, i made one is stripy t-shirt fabric too,and then made some rosettes and glued them on.

here they are with the flower t-shirt necklace i showed you in a previous post.

It's so neat all the ways people are coming up with on how to recycle t-shirts!
