    anthropologie style ruffled throw tutorial

    Uncategorized

first i got a double flat sheet, i measured the amount i wanted for the arm of the sofa, and cut it out

then i cut the rest in to long strips, these need to be alot longer than the width of the sheet you are sewing it to.

next you need to ruffle them, i did this the quick way, by pushing it through the presser foot of the machine crumpled up, pushing it through faster than it is sewing.

next lay them on the sheet to see where you want them, then sew them on one at a time, pinning them to the sheet.

                               then its finished

now you have a cute ruffled throw.

Wow!! I saw a few of these that people used on their beds and I really didn't like it. I never really thought about using it on a couch. (um…DUH!!) It looks amazing. Do you have a problem with the edges fraying? I mean it looks great with the fray but I worry about it fraying too much.
