grain sack head board made from canvas pictures

    Uncategorized

                                                       diy grain sack headboard tutorial

first get your canvas pictures and place some stuffing on top of it evenly i used stuffing from a pillow.

then place some batting over the top. i used a roll christmas snow blanket which is the same as batting just cheaper.

turn over and tuck the batting under the frame using something to push it under.

then place it on top of fabric and cut around it leaving enough to tuck under the frame. now do the same as the batting, tuck it under ensuring that its pulled tight

tuck all the fabric underneath like the picture below

now the main part is done

then i got some vintage buttons, and used a large needle and embroidery thread and stitched them on pulling the thread tight.

then i hung them above the bed to look like a head board

Stopping by from "just a housewife." I love these "stuffed canvases" I was already thinking of about 20 more uses for them. I am pinning them! Absolutely brilliant!

I love this for so many reasons! Simple supplies…possibly have them on hand, easy construction (great instructions), looks expensive! Great project! The room looks lovely! Thanks for sharing!

How cool! I love how it looks. I actually bought some fabric to make a headboard but ended up getting a bed frame for free! ~Tonia @TheGunnySack.com
