    map page specimen art tutorial

    Uncategorized

    to make this you need
    map pages
something to cut the butterflies with, i used a silhouette machine
    glue dots
    box frame.

first cut out butterfly shapes. i did this with the silhouette machine, but you could use a butterfly shaped punch.

then fold all the butterflies in half.

then open them back up again, and add glue on to the crease i used glue dots. and place them onto a plain piece of card that fits the frame in equal spacing.

then put it into the box frame and your done.

This is so pretty. I recently took some photos of my jewelry on top of maps, they really are fun to look at. Great work. Besides my weekly Anything Goes linky fri-monday, I am also hosting a Valentine contest with prizes. I would love for you to join the fun. Found you at Nifty Thrifty Things.

Know how annoyed I am at myself for throwing all my maps away not long ago?? Quite annoyed! I mean hey, we have google now… and GPS… why would I want maps? Grrrrr!! Good job as always – very creative!

What a fun idea! I have a vintage atlas that would be perfect for this. There are so many projects that you can do with maps, aren't there?

These are GORGEOUS! I just found your blog and coincidentally I have been pinning butterfly art that's been just a little too 'little girl's room' looking for our home. This is the ticket! Can't wait to make it 🙂
