    west elm cushion knock off

    Uncategorized

     heres west elms version

     heres mine

to make this cushion you need
1 meter of felt, i used white
    scissors
    pins
    sewing machine

first you need to cut 6 squares to fit across normal pillow infill, then cut 6 more of the same, ( 6x six identical squares). then cut a large square to stitched them on to i measured it against the pillow infill.

with each square, fold in half and make a crease.

then open back out and fold the corners into the middle like the photo below, and then seccure with a pin.

then pin on to the pillow piece of fabric in the pattern like the picture, ensuring the edges meet

then once the main piece of fabric for the pillow is covered with the small square pieces, you are ready to start sewing.

if you want to make a no sew version of the pillow check out design fluffs tutorial here

here is a picture of her no sew pillow

I'm confused. Absolutely love the look, but can't figure where you are sewing. Do you stitch on the diagonal, catching the curled pieces with the stitching? Hope you'll let me (us) know.

I love this! I think I will use two different fabrics to give it a whole new look (and to match my nursery)- but I love the monochromatic look!
