i made some sugar cookie biscuits and cut them in a triangle shapes, then i used a wooden skewer and make holes for the string.
once cooked and cooled down i iced then using roll out icing, i then got a small paintbrush and some food colouring and painted on some hearts. then i got some bakers twine on a big needle and threaded them together
the recipe i used for the cookies was
115g of caster sugar
115g of soft butter
300g of plain flour
a few drops of vanilla essence
first i mixed the butter and sugar together with a wooden spoon, then i used a sift and added the flour, then used my hands to mix it in to dough, then i rolled it out and cut it and baked them at 180c for 12 minutes.
i made theses recipe cards using pixlr. and some clip art i purchased from the ink nest on etsy, feel free to print them for personal use.
