to make these you will need
patching filler or wall compound
cardboard from toilet roll
paint
brush (i used a sponge one too)
tooth pick
cut the cardboard from the toilet roll or kitchen roll to the size you want.
then take the filler (wall compound) and with a putty knive cover the outside with it, this part is where you get the tree effect, so don’t be neat with it,
take s tooth pick or something sharp and run it around the cardboard to make ridges, i then used it to draw a heart.
wait for it to dry then paint it, i used whites, creams, grey and black to create the silver birch look.
take a small paintbrush, and with some black paint, fill in the lines you made, then with white paint (watered down) i dabbed it over the top)
then you can put a shot Glass or egg cup in side and use as a bud vase.
i got inspired by Lucy at craftberry bush, check out her tutorial, she made some lanterns
