    french image peg board

    Uncategorized

i went to blockposters.com as i wanted to print this image on multiple pages so that i could transfer it onto a large board, its a free site that you up load your photo to then you can decide how many pages wide you want your image then you just download it and print it. the larger you do it the more pixelated it gets but i just wanted it to be 2 pages wide by 2 pages high so it wasn’t to bad, i reversed the image and then printed it. then i covered it with mod podge and stuck it to the painted wooden board,

then i left it over night, and then gently rubbed the paper off by wetting it and rolling my fingers over the paper, then i got some pins and some twine and added it to the board to make it into a memo board, i found this plaster mould in a charity shop so i attached it to the top.

How big is the board overall? How thick is the board? Since your image is 2 pages wide by 2 pages tall, the image is probably 17" x 22," making your board really BIG. Looks great!

I haven't been able to successfully transfer an image yet, but think I know why now. I have an inkjet printer. It seems I need a laser printer to get the ink to transfer.

Seeing your board has renewed my interest in trying transferring images again.

Adorable. I haven't tried the mod podge method of transfer yet. I was wondering if you'd tried printing on wax paper and transferring from that, and if so, how it works. The plaster mould you added was a sweet little touch. It's a great project.
