first take the crackle medium and paint it on inside the glass. then cover the top with masking tape so that the spray paint doest go on the outside of the glass. i left it to dry for a bit,
then get the gold spray paint, i used a plasticote one, its the same as the one use for mercury glass but gold.
direct the spray into the glass and spray it so its completely covered, then you will see the crackle medium working. i had originally planned to make gold mercury glass using vinegar and water but i thought i would try this and see the effect it made,
then i mixed modpodge with some pink gel colouring, to make a glaze and painted it on the out side, and put it in the oven on low (130c) for 20 minutes.
the pink tint goes allot lighter once its dried and completely clear. so if you want the pink tint really noticeable i suggest mixing it allot darker then you want it.

Beautiful! Bet they look great lit up at night too!
Your candle holders are so pretty. Have you tried a candle in them yet? I just wondered how the heat would effect the paint. Even if you didn't use a candle, they are beautiful as they are!
Have a lovely day!
