first cut the straws so that you have the bendy part, then cut two smaller bits and use masking tape to stick them together, then cover the whole thing with tape. next take some air drying clay and a bowl of water, and cover the straws with clay, use the water to smooth it. i usually buy white clay but i was only able to get terracotta so i painted them white and used a glue gun to stick them together.
at christmas im going to use it as a decoration for the tree.
