    wooden height chart

    Uncategorized

i was at my mums house snooping around her garage and i found this piece of wood

i have seen quite a few wooden growth charts online recently, so i knew instantly i wanted it so they let me take it.
first i got some white emulsion and did a white wash on the wood by watering down the paint, i did This by dipping the brush in to the paint and then in to a cup of water and then brushed it on, i wanted it quite simple so i left the wood white. then once i was dry i got a tape measure and marked out the inch’s and feet with a sharpie pen.

and i used my silhouette machine to cut the numbers on black vinyl. i have some little wooden tags so when akiri comes over next i can measure her, shes just turned 1.

This is so fun. I found a really long piece of driftwood that I want to do this with for my boys.

A height chart is a great idea of something to make for those with kids. Thanks!

I love the simplicity of this growth chart. So many of them are too babyish or cutesy, but this one is perfect. Thanks for sharing it at Creative Me this week! You're projects are always great! XO, Jenny
