i have a woodland theme in my dining room for Christmas this year i decided to make some place settings for the table, i wanted to make snow globes but i wanted to make them with out water so instead i added the snow mostly on the outside to look like it was floating
i used
6 small jars (or baby food jars)
twigs
moss
faux snow
moth images from graphics fairy
glue gun
white glue
twine
pen
brown card
hole punch
white paint
first i removed the lids from the jars (i used small pickle jars which are the same size as baby food jars) and painted them all white, i added some glue to the lids and dipped them in some faux snow.
then i cut out the moths that i got from graphics fairy, and put them to one side.
next i cut some twigs to size and sprayed a little faux snow on them and used the glue gun to stick them upright onto the lid, then i glued moss around it
. i then glued the butterflies on to the twigs and added some faux snow and screwed the lids on to the jars.
i added some white glue (like elmers glue or pva glue) onto the top of the jar and sprinkled some more faux snow on to the top.
for the labels i used some brown card and used a hole punch so i could thread them onto some twine, then i tied them on to the jars.

Love these. Do not use place settings for my table, but a row of these across the mantel would look great!
