to make a tulip you will need
tissue paper (white)
water colour paints
yellow and green tissue
egg cups for shaping
straw
glue
cut the tissue in to a petal shape with a slightly ruffled edge, fold the tissue so you can cut several at a time, then glue two petals together to make one petal as the tissue it to thin with just one layer. to paint them lay them flat on a shiny surface that will be easy to peel them off of when they are wet with out tearing them, (i used a tray)
use pink paint a cover the petal and then add bits of darker pink and a bit of green. to form the shape i gently peeled them off and placed them in the egg cups and placed them in front of the fire ( radiator or other heat source) to dry and they will form the shape of a tulip petal, then cut some yellow tissue in a wide strip and fold it half then cut lots of little strips 3/4 of the way to the bottom then add glue and roll around the top of the straw for the centre then glue the petals around it making them stand up right, then cut a strip of green tissue and wrap it around the straw for the stem
