i wanted to make a valetines gift box to do with bees. like bee mine so i decided on a honeycomb box i found in the silhouette store
to make the box the shapes i used were
3d honeycomb box Design ID #37192

and
bumblebee Design ID #27913

i cut the box on some dark cream card and i cut the 3d bee on gold card and glued it together
i thought it would be good to stick with the bee theme so i made honeycomb to go inside its really easy.
to make the honeycomb
you will need
175g sugar
2 table spoons honey
2 table spoons water
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
first you need to line a cake tin with parchment paper and grease it ready for the honeycomb. then add the water sugar and honey in a pan on full heat.
keep boiling until it starts to bubble and turns a amber colour, use a thermometer and when it reaches 150 put in the baking soda and quickly whisk it in, it will bubble up instantly and turn lighter then pour it into the cake tin and leave to harden. make sure to pour it into the tin and not touch or spread it to keep the bubbles
once hard to can break it up and leave it as it is or cover it in chocolate. of you could even crush it and use it on cakes or in icecream
