    crepe paper daffodils

    Uncategorized

     you will need
    White or yellow crepe paper
    green crepe paper
    bendy straws
yellow and orange water colour paints
    paint brush
    pot of water
    glue
    scissors

first you need to paint the tissue paper, i started with the middle part of the flower and cut a long strip of crepe paper with a jagged edge, and then painted it orange on one end and then faded it to yellow and left it to dry. then i glued it in to a cylinder shape.
for the petals i cut some light yellow crepe paper and then painted it a brighter yellow on the ends and then used a wet brush to drag the colour out.

to assemble it take the centre part and gather one end (orange part) and roll it and add glue and slide it into the straw. then cut a long strip of green paper and wind it around the straw covering it.
then glue the petals on around it in a star shape. then add some more green crepe paper over where you glued the petals.

These look so real! I always think of paper flowers as something preschoolers make for Mother's Day, but these are so elegant.
