i enlarged this image and traced it on to some freezer paper and used a precision knife to cut it out. for the jar shape i did a reverse stencil and i cut a jar shape out so i had an out line. with some scrap thick fabric i cut it into a rectangle 2 inches larger than i needed it. i ironed the rough edges over and then folded them oven again and ironed them flat and pinned them in place, i then used my sewing machine to stitch the sides down.
i ironed the freezer paper stencil on and mixed up some paint i added some fabric medium to it to insure that the fabric would not be hard and used a sponge brush to paint it then once it had dried i removed the paper.

Very pretty!
That is just too cute!
I retire in 98 days and I don't think I will have a minute of free time because I will finally get to make all the cute things I see on blogs.
Thanks for the inspiration.
