    paper dahlias tutorial

    Uncategorized

     here’s my inspiration
centerpiece heaven where a big, pink Dahlia is taking center stage Photography By / http://closertolovephotography.com,Floral Design By / http://THELITTLEBRANCH.COM U Chic roses + dahlias
    via pinterest

    you will need
    white crepe paper and paper
pink white and yellow water colour paints
    kebab stick
    glue
    scissors
    card

first i made the large dahlia, i made this with crepe paper you will need to paint it first i layed it on to a tray and painted on some watered down pink paint fading from dark to light. and leave it to dry. then take the kebab stick and roll up a ball and glue it to the stick, then cut some small long petals and glue them around it,

then cut some long wider petals and roll the ends where you are going to attach it to the stick, and glue them on. then cut a circle of paper and make a hole in the middle so you can slide it on, and then glue petals all around it and add glue then slide it up the stick and glue it to the back of the middle part, follow this step two more times making the outside layer white.

for the puff ball shaped dahlia paint some paper pink on both sides and then paint one yellow.
fold it up and cut it into circles then cut it in half again, and roll it up into little cones

cut a circle of card and make a hole in the middle and start gluing them on around the circle and continue layering them up, making the cones smaller as you get to the middle and add the yellow ones in the middle, once the puff ball is complete slide the stick into the hole and leave the glue to dry.
