you will need
air dry clay
spray paint for nest (i used gold and white)
blue and brown paint and paint brush
ribbon
glue
napkins
hand wash fabric dye and salt
you will need to roll out balls of clay in thin long pieces, then you can wind it around in a nest shape. keep adding lots of strips, pinching them to each other as yo go, then made a small flat piece of clay for it to sit on and join it together and put it to one side to dry. to make the eggs roll small balls in the palm of your hand until you get the shape you want and leave to dry.
once dry stray paint the nest as it may to be fragile to use a paint brush, the layer of paint will help strengthen it.
paint the eggs a duck egg blue colour then with a wet brush dip it onto brown paint and flick it on to make the speckles.
once the nest and the eggs are dry glue them in and glue the nest to a strip of ribbon.
to dip dye the napkins fill the sink with water and add half the amount of dye stated on the packet with the salt and dip the napkin 3/4 of the way in and hold it there for a minute and pull it back out, add the rest of the dye to the water and mix it and then dip the napkins in a quarter of the way and leave to sit for 5 minutes hanging over the edge of the sink, then remove it from the dye and rinse it until the water runs clear and ring it out and leave to dry
