    plaster of paris eggs

    Uncategorized

take a balloon and blow it up a few times to stretch it, then mix up some plaster of Paris with some food colouring and pour it into the balloon and until its full up (stop before you get to the tie bit), it will look like an egg shape, tie up the balloon making sure there are no air bubbles and leave for a few hours to harden, then once dry remove it from the balloon and paint it and then flick brown paint onto it so make it speckled

These are so cute! I love that they will have some weight to them — sometimes the paper mache or thread eggs just seem so fragile and prone to be blown by the "breeze" of my children playing 🙂
