    speckled chocolate eggs

    Uncategorized

i used this bunny egg mould from wholeport.com
first i filled the bunny with with icing and pressed it in firm so there were no gaps. then i spinkled coco powder in to the mould lightly.
in a microwave safe bowl i melted some blue candy melts and then poured it in, tap it onto the surface to ensure it spreads and there are no air bubbles then brush the chocolate up the sides and chill until hard, then fill it with chocolate peanuts or what ever filling you want and then pour some more blue chocolare over it and tap it again to ensure it fills the shape. then once hard you can remove it from the mould.

The white bunny on those blue candy eggs is adorable. I don't have a lot of experience with candy making. I would never have thought of using the cocoa to make the eggs look speckled.

What a great idea! These look really cute, and even though I've not done a lot of candy-making, I want to try this one.
