diy cupcake wrapper flowers made with left over polystyrene eggs

    Uncategorized

i bought loads of polystyrene eggs at Easter and had so many left over to i decided to use them to make these flowers.

to make these ranunculus you will need
    cupcake wrappers
large bowl with a few inches of water
polystyrene egg (left over from Easter)
    food colouring
    scissors
    glue
    brown pen

cut the polystyrene egg in half and take the bottom part and cut the flat edges to make it more of  circular shape.
dig out a small hole in the middle and roll up some tissue in a ball and glue it in and colour it brown,
to make the petals soak the cup cake wrappers in the water with food colouring to dye them. i then dried them on a plate in the microwave but you can leave them to air dry.
cut them In to small petal shapes like a rounded edge triangle.

start gluing them on overlapping each one

keep adding more and more layers and fold the ones on the outside out slightly

and then you are done, i then glued a stalk on from a dried flower i had.

Amazing idea, you did a great job. You made a beautiful cupcake wrapper flowers by using polystyrene. Right now I'm thinking for make cupcake wrapper flowers as you and I have unwanted polystyrene blocks in my store room. So I give a surprise to my family after making this wonderful craft.
