    buttermilk banana bread scones

    Uncategorized

    recipe
    3 and 1/4 cups of flour
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    pinch of salt
    3/4 cup butter
    2/3 cup buttermilk
    vanilla extract
    2/3 bananas mashed
    preheat oven at 218c or 425f
    in a bowl combine, flour,sugar, baking powder/soda and salt and cinnamon, then add the butter and rub together. make a well in the centre and add the butter milk, vanilla and mashed bananas, then mix
     together, flour surface and knead in to a dough, then mould in to ball, and line a baking tray with parchment or baking paper and place the ball of dough in the middle then flatten it in to a circle and cut into wedges.
    bake for 10/15 minutes.

      can you clarify the amount of banana….2/3 cup or is it 2 to 3? I have really ripe bananas and am ready to bake!

      Just made these and they look and smell great BUT i have to say that 15 minutes definitley isnt long enough, mine took 30. Great recipe, cant wait to enjoy one for breakfast tomorrow. 🙂
