    chocolate shortbread recipe

     this shortbread tastes so good, that’s why some of it was missing before i got to take a picture lol.
    my partner couldn’t resist.
     its a normal Scottish shortbread recipe with added cocoa powder. its really easy to make.

     

    recipe
    175g plain flour
    50g corn flour
    50g caster sugar
    115g unsalted butter
    50g cocoa powder
    vanilla extract
     
    preheat the oven at 160c
    line baking tray with parchment paper,
    sift flour, cornflour and sugar and cocoa into a mixing bowl, rub the butter in until it binds together and knead into a soft dough.
    then form into a circle and then flatten (on the parchment paper)
    prick holes in to the dough and score lines so it can be broken in to slices once cooked. sprinkle with sugar
    then cook for 35 minutes.
