    churros with cinnamon sugar

    Uncategorized

churros are Mexican style doughnut strands made with a fried choux pastry mixture,
i rolled then in cinnamon sugar.
it was my first time trying them and i have to admit im a convert, they taste so good.

    recipe
    1 1/4 cup flour
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 tsp sugar
    1/4 cup water
    125g butter
    4 eggs
    1/2 cup sugar
    tsp cinnamon
in a pan add the butter and water, stir until butter has melted, add the sugar and salt and bring to a rapid bowl, remove from the heat and stir in the flour,
stir vigorously until the mixture forms a ball and comes away from the sides of the pan.
put back onto the heat and cook for 1/2 minutes.
heat oil until it reaches 180c 350f or use a deep fat fryer,
add the mixture into a piping bag and with a star nozzle and pipe in the mixture being careful not to drop the mixture in a splash the oil.
cook for 2/4 minutes on each side
    roll in cinnamon sugar
    eat while warm

I love churros, especially dipped in Spanish style, thick hot chocolate. Just FYI you have a couple typos. I think "tying" should be "trying" and it should be "I'm a convert" not "in a convert". Cheers!

Thank you for sharing these. They look scrumptious. I've only had the "real" Spanish version once and yum! Glad to have a recipe. Pinning.

Fantastic! My girls love these from street vendors here in LA. They r a rare treat, but now we can make our own batch at home. Is that Nutella on the side? Visiting from the Scoop – Kelly http://www.mysoulfulhome.com
