    dandelion lemonade

    Uncategorized

This lemonade was really nice, my lawn needed mowing so i had a garden full of dandelions.
It tasted really sweet and refreshing I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

    Recipe
    1 cup of dandelion heads
    1 cup of water
pull the petals off of the dandelions and put in a bowl with a cup of water and leave over night.
pour through a sift into a pan then add
    3/4 cups of sugar
juice and zest of two lemons
    2 cups of water
stir until sugar dissolves and bring to boil, then pour into a sterilised bottle.

Wow that looks good. I think I'll make that for a girly afternoon tea I'm having later this month at my beach hut. Might even use it as part of a cocktail recipe! Elinor x

Now that is interesting. I don't think I even knew dandelions were edible! What sort of flavor is it?
