    apple pie for one

    Uncategorized

sometimes its nice to just have a pie to your self, i hate to make a big pie when its just the two of us,
i baked this pie in a large tea cup it could be shared with two spoons if you don’t want to eat it all to your self. there is enough dough to make one large mug pie or two smaller ones.
with the off cuts of dough i made two leaves and stuck them on you could decorate them Any way you like.

    for the pastry

    27g butter
    50g plain flour
    1 large apple
    2 tbsp sugar

rub together the butter and flour then add tsp of water and bring together into a ball, let the dough rest for 10 minutes while you preheat the oven to 180c
peel the apple and cut into chunks put into a bowl and add the sugar and coat the apples.
take a piece of the pastry and roll into a long strip and place around the lip of the cup, add the apples then roll out the rest of the dough and place on top, press onto the rim of pastry.
brush the top with milk and make a slit in the top and bake for 20 minutes.
