these granola bars are amazing, they should be called everything but the kitchen sink bars as they are jam packed with everything from peanuts, seeds, honey, oats and dried raspberries.
they are a great protein packed snack for the morning.
i was hungry yesterday afternoon so i decided to whip them up.
recipe
1 and half cups rolled oats
1/2 cup peanuts
1/4 cup flaked almonds
1/4 cup ground almonds
1/3 cup pretzels ( optional)
3 tbsp white choc chips
3 tbsp cashews
1/3 cup dessicated coconut
3 tbsp dried raspberries
2 tbsp golden linseed
3 tbsp pumpkin seeds
3 tbsp sunflower seeds
half cup golden syrup
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 tsp butter
preheat oven at 180c 350f
in a bowl mix the syrup. honey and peanut butter then add the 2 tbsp of melted butter,
in a food processor add half the peanuts (keep the rest whole) and all the pretzels and pulse to break down, add this to the syrup, then add all of the other ingredients and mix well to coat all of the mixture.
press into a lined tin, bake for 15 minutes
once cooked slice and drizzle over some more white chocolate.
so easy to make but so good. if you want to make them a little healthier skip the white chocolate and golden syrup and just use more honey or maple syrup.
