    cookie dough chocolate bark

    Uncategorized

i love cookie dough and i love chocolate so it was no surprise i came up with this simple holiday treat. it is so easy to make and will be a big hit trust me.
you could keep it as bark or slice it into smaller chunks and wrap it in baking paper as candies.
this is so simple to make that it would be great to make with children.

    cookie dough recipe
    75g butter (5 tbsp)
    4 heaped tbsp brown sugar
    4 heaped tbsp caster sugar
    pinch salt
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 tbsp golden syrup
    125g plain flour (1 cup)

all you need to do to make the cookie dough is so add all the ingredients into a food processor and whizz until it comes together then tip out and roll into a ball while sprinkling about 4 tbsp small chocolate chips into it,

melt 300g (110z) in a bowl over a pan of boiling water ,
milk or dark chocolate (depending on your preference)
pour half into a lined rectangle baking tin, approx 20 by 15cm
flatten the dough onto a piece of baking paper to fit the tin then press onto chocolate and gently peel back paper and then pour the rest of the chocolate on top. put in the fridge for about 20 minutes to harden and its done.
i chopped mine up and kept it in the fridge for people to nibble on when they wanted.
this should keep quite well in an air tight container or in the fridge for a couple of weeks so it will make a great gift,
