This banana bread has so much flavour and the crumble top really makes it extra special.
everyone really enjoyed it.
I added honey, rosewater, cardamom and cinnamon to it then added chopped walnuts and pecans into the crumble top.
I love banana bread its one of my favorites so its fun to play with the flavours.
2 bananas
150g unsalted butter
200g plain flour
4 tbsp creme fraiche
2 tbsp rose water
200ml honey
100g brown sugar
ground up seeds from 2 cardamom pods
1 tsp cinnamon
2 eggs
1 tsb vanilla extract
crumble
50g flour
50g caster sugar
50g butter
10 walnuts and pecans chopped into small pieces
Preheat the oven to 180c 350f
Add the butter and sugar in to the bowl and cream together until pale then add the eggs one at a time, then add the creme fraiche and honey and vanilla and rosewater and mix together. mash the bananas and mix into the wet ingredients
sift in the flour and add the ground cardamom and cinnamon and fold in
spoon into a lined loaf tin,
make crumble by adding the flour, sugar and butter into a bowl and rub togther then add the nuts and sprinkle it onto the cake batter
bake for about 45 minutes or until a cake tester inserted into the middle comes out clean.

Banana bread is such a staple and it reminds me of Hawaii (tit seems here is a banana bread stand on every corner). I love that you added in the honey and rosewater. I'm dying to try this next time I whip up a loaf.
