This banana bread was so good still warm and slathered in honey.
The lavender sugar hazelnut crumble is the star of the recipe, it makes a huge difference to my normal banana bread recipe as i love the texture.

I cut the amount of sugar I usually use in half and replaced it with honey then I added some salt i used half a teaspoon but feel free to experiment and add more.
Recipe
2 over ripe bananas
150g butter
200g self raising flour
200ml honey
1/2 tsp salt
100g brown sugar
2 eggs
3 tbsp milk
Crumble topping
50g butter
100g plain flour
4 tbsp lavender sugar
5 tbsp chopped hazelnuts
Preheat the oven to 180c 350f
grease and line a loaf tin
In a large bowl beat together the brown sugar and butter then add the eggs one at a time.
Then mix in the honey and mashed bananas.
Fold in the flour and salt then to loosen the batter add the milk. Pour into the lined loaf tin
Make the crumble mixture by rubbing the flour and butter and sugar together then mix in the hazelnuts and sprinkle over the top.
Bake for about 45 minutes.
Enjoy still warm drizzled with more honey.

Im always up for more banana bread recipes. This looks wonderful love the sound of lavender sugar and hazelnut crumble.
Would really love to make this. I looked into conversions for the ingredients from grams to cups etc but found a lot of different values out there. I know "silly Yanks!" Do you perhaps have a US measure conversion for your recipe? Thanks for any help in this
